ARIJ 16th Annual Forum

Introduction

The ARIJ Annual Forum's 16th edition took place in Amman, Jordan, from December 1 to 3, 2023, centered around the theme “Cross Border Collaboration in a Fragmented World”, with over 1800 virtual registrations and the physical presence of more than 500 participants, ARIJ23 stood as the largest annual gathering for independent media in the Arab world. The event served as a significant platform for journalists, fact-checkers, lawyers, media institutions (both Arab and international), universities, and individuals involved in independent media. Attendees had the chance to connect with donors, partners, supporters, decision-makers, diplomats, researchers, and decision makers. ARIJ 23 provided a unique hybrid chance to equip investigative journalists and fact-checkers with essential training, fostering the development of their skills, and featured a fully bilingual program.
